Buddy Bear
We provide teddy bears named "Buddy Bear" for children in traumatic situations.
The chapter supplies Buddy Bears to the Colorado Springs Fire Department; Stratmoore Hills Fire Department; the emergency centers of Memorial Hospital Central and Memorial Hospital North; the Alamosa, Colorado base of Eagle Air Med, a fixed-wing air ambulance service supporting the Navajo Nation and the Four Corners region; and TESSA, an organization supporting victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault.
This program began in 1991 and has distributed over 18,400 Buddy Bears.
